You Were Born Set Apart

Writer: JosephJoseph
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” - Jeremiah 1:5

From a young age you recognized that you were different in nature from everyone else. You never quite fit in with any particular set of people. As an adult, you still feel disconnected and isolated, but there is a sense of comfort when you are by yourself. Because of your enhanced senses, you notice details that most people don't see. This awareness makes you feel uneasy or awkward at times in group settings. You are unique and different from everyone else around you. You feel like you will never "fit in" or find your place with people no matter how hard you try. You might be able to interact with others in laughter and fun until the event is over and then you notice that you are alone and feel like an outcast again. DON'T WORRY! You have a purpose and you are not alone. What does the Bible have to say about this?...

But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by his grace, was pleased - Galatians 1:15
Then Moses said, “You have been set apart to the Lord today, for you were against your own sons and brothers, and he has blessed you this day.” - Exodus 32:29
But I said to you, “You will possess their land; I will give it to you as an inheritance, a land flowing with milk and honey.” I am the Lord your God, who has set you apart from the nations. - Leviticus 20:24
You are to be holy to me because I, the Lord, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own. - Leviticus 20:26
Know that the Lord has set apart his faithful servant for himself; the Lord hears when I call to him. - Psalm 4:3
