Have you ever noticed that everywhere you go everyone is in such a big hurry? If you are applying for a job you almost always see "fast paced environment" in the job description. When people are scrolling on their phones or tablets, if the program doesn't load right away they get upset. When they are watching TV, they can't even watch a whole show all the way through and have to skip to the next one or an ad comes on in the middle of their show and it's time to get upset again because it's slowing them down. Does the Bible say anything about all this? Let's take a look...
in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. - Ephesians 2:2
Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short. - Revelation 12:12
If the devil's time is short and he seems to be running this world, maybe that is the reason. Makes sense to me. Now that we know this, do we need to worry about the devil running this world? Jesus-Yeshua said...
Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out. - John 12:31
I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold over me, - John 14:30
and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned. - John 16:11
The devil has no hold over us and he stands condemned. So, regardless of what is going on in this crazy world, we always need to remember...
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? - Matthew 6:25-34
So, slow down. Take a breath. Be patient. There is no reason to be in such a hurry or worry about it. It's already been taken care of for us by Jesus-Yeshua. ✝
